Study Room, Malacañan Palace

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte administered the oath-taking of Chief of Presidential Protocol and Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs Robert Eric Borje at the Study Room in Malacañan Palace.

The newly sworn government official was accompanied by his parents, retired Rear Admiral Adolf Borje and Mrs. Eleanor Borje, during the ceremony.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Borje, who is a Foreign Service Officer (FSO), served as the Assistant Chief of Presidential Protocol from 2016. He was also posted at the Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C., United States of America and at the Philippine Mission to the United Nations (U.N.) in New York.

Furthermore, he worked as a concurrent anchor and news desk editor for the ABS-CBN Regional Network Group, as well as a reporter, producer and radio anchor for TV Patrol Manila and ANC. He was also a Senior Economic Development Specialist of the Mindanao Economic Development Council, now known as the Mindanao Development Authority.
