We have turned a what was a minor Party in the political spectrum into the majority Party now in the country and that is because not only for political convenience, not only to prepare for elections, but because there is, and I have always been of the belief that a Party must stand for an ideology,” remarked President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. when he addressed the new members of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) during their oath-taking ceremony held at the Malacañan Palace.
President underscored that the central ideology of the PFP is to distribute power centers to local governments, to local districts and all those operating at the local level, as it makes for a more stable political structure in the country. “What we have started to do, kahit na in all but name, ay ating ginagawa ay talagang ibinibigay ang discretion, ang power, ang function, hangga’t maaari sa pinakamababa na level na maaari nating gawin. So, we are doing the first step of the federal government for the Philippines,” he stated.
further that although PFP is a political Party, there is a pressing need to align the political forces, especially as the barangay elections are approaching, which will have a big impact on how the 2025 national elections will turn out.
We are attempting to be – to transform the government, to transform the bureaucracy, to transform even the thinking of ordinary Filipino citizens and our politicians. Ibahin natin ang pag-iisip para naman ay makaramdam naman ‘yung ating mga kababayan ng pagbabago na talagang ang pamahalaan ay nandiyan para tulungan sila,” he continued, stating further that the idea of federalism is of great significance to the PFP as it endeavors to stabilize the political system in the country.
Kailangan talaga lahat ay magkaisa. Kaya’t lagi ko pinapaalala sa tao, ang pagkakaisa na ating sinigaw ‘nung kampanya, hindi po ‘yan slogan. Katotohanan ‘yun. ‘Yun talaga ang magiging solusyon sa ating mga problema,” President Marcos Jr. ended in his message.
