After a series of business meetings, President Benigno S. Aquino III joined the Filipino and Spanish businessmen in a networking event at the Intercontinental Hotel Madrid. He encouraged the foreign entrepreneurs to invest in the Philippines mentioning that the country gains significant economic achievements.

The President proudly stated that the Philippines’ economy has an average growth of 6.3% from 2010 to 2013. He likewise mentioned the investment grade granted by major credit rating agencies and the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Global Competitiveness Report where the Philippines was cited as the most improved coutry since 2010. Also, he cited that various publications and groups declared the country as the region’s bright spot and Asia’s Rising Tiger, among other positive remark.

“In the Philippines, you will find a nation with a stable regulatory regime; a place where the government is focused on investing on its greatest resource, its people; a nation where entrepreneurs are viewed as partners and where everyone works to prove that, for tourists and businesses alike: Es mas divertido en las Filipinas,” President Aquino said.
