The Moscow State Institute of International, also known as MGIMO, is an academic institution run by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
Founded on October 14, 1944, it is the oldest and most renowned school in Russia that prepares students for careers in international relations and diplomacy. It is an institution for young people with international interests, offering them the widest range of educational programs and specializations available.
The university gives students a context for understanding the contemporary world – be it through international diplomacy, public administration, business, economics, law, and journalism, not to mention the 53 languages it teaches. MGIMO is also known as the Harvard University of Russia.
