The Monument of King Taksin the Great is located in the center of Wong Wian Yai, a huge traffic island in the center of a busy junction.

The shrine constructed in 1988 was to commemorate King Taksin passing Chachoengsao after the fall of Ayutthaya in 1767. It is also a symbol of his prowess in battle in the restoration of Thailand’s independence.
