Located at the southern edge of downtown Los Angeles, the Staples Center is home to the Lakers, the Clippers and the Kings. Aside from being a sports venue and stadium, numerous celebrity concerts have also been staged since its opening, among them the Rolling Stones, Madonna, Britney Spears, Prince, U2, Paul McCartney and Counting Crows.

Across the Staples Center is the Microsoft Theater, formerly known as the Nokia Theater. It is the known home of the American Music Awards, Primetime Emmy Awards, BET Awards, People’s Choice Awards, Radio Disney Music Awards, 2010 & 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, 2014 & 2015 MTV Movie Awards and the 2013 Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame.

Since its opening on October 2007, the theater has successfully hosted famous artists like Alan Jackson, Katy Perry, Charlie Wilson, Juan Gabriel, Aretha Franklin, Ed Sheeran, John Fogerty, Gabriel Iglesias, Kanye West, Marc Anthony, Sesame Street Live, and John Legend, among others. It has also hosted two movie premieres, namely “The Hunger Games” and “Twilight”.
