The Philippines is one of the original 51 charter members that created the United Nations in 1945. For decades, the UN has been a partner of the Government of the Philippines in bringing normative policy support, technical assistance and advocacy, and the ability to convene and mobilize stakeholders across the political spectrum to support the country’s development agenda.
