President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. met with the United States (U.S.) – Philippines Society as he continued his official visit to Washington, D.C.

During the meeting, The Society pledged its commitment for greater cooperation and partnership towards development initiatives that will trigger economic growth in the Philippines following the Chief Executive’s visit to the U.S. capital.

A private sector initiative, the U.S.-Philippines Society was organized to broaden and expand interaction and understanding through basic research and/or applied research in the areas of security, trade, investments, tourism, environment, history, education and culture between the two nations that would benefit the American public and the Filipino people. The Society initially met President Marcos Jr. in Malacañan Palace last January 2023.
