President Benigno S. Aquino III met with the officials of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) in San Fernando, Pampanga.

In a briefing by Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Rogelio “Babes” Singson, he reported that the government has provided the province with a total of PhP 13.67 billion for infrastructure and PhP 6 billion for flood control projects from 2011 to 2016.

Among the said projects were the excavation/dredging of local drainage channels and construction of bridges; completion of Lower Porac-Gumain Diversion Channel; City of San Fernando Flood Control Works – Outlet Channels and Bridges; excavation/dredging of major rivers; flood mitigation works in Guagua; and completion of spillways.
