President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. allotted time to be with his fellow Filipinos in a gathering at Washington, D.C. as he concluded the second day of his official visit to the United States of America.
He expressed his deep gratitude to the overseas Filipinos for keeping the Philippine economy afloat during the COVID-19 pandemic and for continuing to extend assistance to their countrymen in times of calamities and disasters.
The Chief Executive also called on the Filipino-Americans to be his Administration’s partners in promoting tourism as it generates livelihood to the country. At the same time, he encouraged them to invite their children and grandchildren to visit the Philippines to see for themselves the richness of local culture and history, as well as learn about their ancestry.
