President Aquino met with farmer representatives of Task Force Mapalad (TFM) in Malacanang. TFM is a national federation of farmers, farm workers and individuals working for agrarian reform and rural development.

Together with Budget Sec. Butch Abad, Agriculture Sec. Proceso Alcala and Agrarian Reform Sec. Virgilio Delos Reyes,  the two sides discussed the so-called backlog of the government in distributing more than one million hectares of land under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) to its farmer beneficiaries.
