President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. began the second day of his official visit to Washington, D.C. by meeting with the executives of NuScale Power Corporation.

NuScale is the industry-leading provider of proprietary and innovative advanced small modular reactor (SMR) nuclear technology, the first and only SMR certified by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Its mission is to help power the global energy transition by delivering safe, scalable and reliable carbon-free energy.

During the meeting, NuScale executives expressed interest to invest in the Philippines and is planning to conduct a study to determine a site in the country.
