President Benigno S. Aquino III met with the Metro Manila mayors who were proclaimed winners in the previous mayoral elections held last May. According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the meeting served as the council’s courtesy call to the President which they traditionally do every time a new set of mayors have been elected.

The meeting was also attended by Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas, Public Works and Highways Secretary Rogelio Singson, National Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin, Social Welfare and Development Secretary Dinky Soliman, Presidential Management Staff (PMS) Secretary Julia Abad and MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino.
