President Benigno S. Aquino III called on the Nagueños to be critical in choosing their new leaders in the upcoming national elections during a meeting with local officials and community at Plaza Quezon in Naga City, Camarines Sur.

With Valentine’s Day drawing near, the President likened the national campaign to a lovers’ courtship, urging the voting public to be vigilant and not to be easily swayed by sky-high promises.

Rallying the people to continue treading the straight path of reform, the President remembers the exemplary leadership of the late Secretary Jesse Robredo has imbued in the hearts and minds of the Nagueños. He called for their solid support not just for his widow, Atty. Leni Robredo, who is currently seeking the vice-presidential post, but also for the entire lineup of the Liberal Party.

“Kami po dito sa entablado ay dumudulog sainyo, dito na tayo sa tiyak na hindi kayo nanakawan, dito na tayo sa tiyak na may kakayahan, dito na tayo sa tiyak dadalhin tayo sa katuparan ng ating mga pangarap,” he said.
