President Benigno S. Aquino III cited a few of the administration’s efforts to improve the lives of the Zambaleños when he met with the local leaders and residents of the municipality of Iba, Zambales.

In his speech, President Aquino said that a total of P6.05 billion infrastructure projects have been allotted from 2011 to 2016, including the construction of Gapan-San Fernando-Olongapo Road Project Phase 2 and the completion of Olongapo-Bugallon Road and Dampay Salaza Access Road this year.

For agriculture, P230 million worth of farm-to-market roads were built and P362.95 million for irrigation systems, from 2011 to 2016. In support of the fishermen, government has provided P22.83 million for the development of the Subic fish port, with its construction expected to be finished by October this year.

Meanwhile, in the technical education sector, there are at least 9,631 Training for Work Scholarship Program graduates in Zambales, from 2010 to 2015. These graduates belong to the 9 million technical vocational education scholars in the country.

He added that all the 87 sitios in Zambales are already 100% energized, forming part of the 32,441 identified sitios with no electricity in 2011.

At the end of his remarks, the President called on all the participants of the event to vote for the rightful leader who will continue the positive reforms of the administration.
