Engaging with an estimated 5,000 Tarlaqueňos, President Benigno S. Aquino III urged the locals to vote for leaders that will be with him in continuing reforms and programs that the administration already started.

He proudly announced the projects and programs that focus on education, tourism, infrastructure development, agriculture, sitio electrification and social services. One of these is the 36,304 household beneficiaries of Tarlac for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4P’s), surpassing the targeted 31,991 households. In Victoria alone, over 1,800 households were listed as 4P’s beneficiaries.

On education, President Aquino said that the administration will be able to address the shortage of classrooms, chairs and textbooks before the end of the year. In Tarlac, over 600 classrooms were already constructed. On sitio electrification, he added that 144 sitios in the province have been supplied with electricity, particularly 25 sitios in Victoria.

President Aquino also mentioned the 12 farm-to-market roads that were constructed for the towns of Capas, La Paz, Concepcion, Gerona, San Jose, Tarlac City and Victoria. Other projects that concern agricultural development are the 19 irrigation projects covering more than 2,300 hectares in the towns of San Jose, Mantayoc, Capas, La Paz, Paniqui, Moncada, Camiling, Concepcion and Tarlac City.

Moreover, he cited the infrastructure projects that will enhance commerce in the province, such as the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway project that will reduce travel time from Tarlac City to Rosario, La Union by 1 hour that will benefit 20,000 travellers. Other plans in infrastructure development are the Central Luzon Link Expressway that will be started next year and the Manila North Road from Paniqui to Moncada which is expected to be accomplished this month.
