President Benigno S. Aquino III joined local leaders and the community in Baguio City after keynoting the graduation rites of the Philippine Military Academy ‘Pudang Kalis’ Class of 2013.

Addressing the locals, President Aquino stated several government agency projects being implemented that would further boost the economic development in the province. In Baguio City particularly, there’s the rehabilitation and widening of the 65-kilometer Gurel-Bokod-Kabayan-Buguias Road, which would cut short the travel time from Bokod to Buguias by an hour. Once completed, it would also decongest the travel of around 2,900 motorists, including tourists going to Mt. Pulag and Kabayan Caves in Benguet that pass through it every day.

According to the President, 2,881 households have benefitted from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipinong Program in Baguio City while 118 sitios have already been energized in Benguet.
