President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met with Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III, National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa, and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eduardo Año in Malacañan Palace.

The Chief Executive convened the officials to comprehensively talk on threats within the country such as terrorism and the proliferation of the illegal drug trade. President Duterte also divulged on the possibility that terrorism is driven by illegal drug money.

The leaders also discussed the current peace talks with the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP).
