President Rodrigo Roa Duterte visited the 6th Infantry Division (6ID) at the Camp Brigadier General Gonzalo H. Siongco in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Province of Maguindanao and met with the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), local government officials, and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP) Area Commanders.

In his remarks, the Commander-in-Chief expressed his commitment to improve governance in the BARMM. “Alam mo ang gobyerno talagang ginawa nang lahat, the creation of BARMM and hindi pa tapos. We are also more than just to expand whatever is necessary for an effective governance of your Mindanao,” he said.

“And I would just say I really love the Muslims and the Christians, and all the indigenous tribes here,” he emphasized.

During his visit, President Duterte also inspected assorted firearms and ammunition recovered by the Philippine Army’s (PA) 6ID for the period of January to May 2021.
