State Dining Room, Malacañan Palace

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. presided over a meeting with several Cabinet Secretaries on major infrastructure projects proposed for inauguration and groundbreaking from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) at the State Dining Room in Malacañan Palace.
These include the NLEX-SLEX Connector Road; Cavite-Laguna Expressway; various official development assistance (ODA) projects in Mindanao such as the Flood Risk Management Project in Cagayan de Oro River Contract Package 2 and Improving Growth Corridors in Mindanao Road Sector Project; Central Luzon Link Expressway Phase 1; Samar Pacific Coastal Road; locally funded projects in Cagayan, Pangasinan, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao and Davao City; and priority bridges in Metro Manila.
A number of locally funded projects within the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI), Philippine General Hospital (PGH), Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) and Philippine Cancer Center (PCC) were also part of the presentation.
DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan reported that a total of 1,542 kilometers of roads have been constructed, maintained, widened, upgraded and rehabilitated as of the present.
During the meeting, President Marcos Jr. instructed the DPWH to prioritize farm-to-market roads across the nation to support farmers.
The attendees in the meeting included DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista, Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah Pangandaman and DPWH Undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil and Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Secretary Juan Ponce Enrile accompanied President Marcos Jr. in the meeting.
