President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. met the regional, provincial, municipal federated presidents and regional coordinators of the Barangay Health and Wellness (BHW) Partylist at the President’s Hall in Malacañan Palace.

The President recognized the crucial role of barangay health workers during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, as they did most of the ground work to visit houses and monitor the health status of their constituents.

The BHW Partylist represents healthcare workers, barangay nutrition scholars, barangay sanitary inspectors and barangay service point officers in the Philippine Congress.

The group advocates for the wellness of barangay health workers, as well as provides them and their families with medical, educational and burial assistance.
