“Ang idiniin nga natin: Sa Liberal Party (LP), sa ating koalisyon, sa Daang Matuwid, laging bayan bago ang sarili,” said President Benigno S. Aquino III in his attendance to the Koalisyon ng Daang Matuwid: Ang Pagpapakilala held in Cubao, Quezon City.
Upon the announcement of the senatorial slate of the LP, President Aquino stressed that these individuals will help maintain and enforce government efforts, such as the passage of the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL).
“Sa BBL, sa simula’t simula, ang punto ay asikasuhin ang lahat. Ang mga nasasakupan naman, may pantay na karapatan at sariling boses,” added the President in citing a few of the key objectives of the said bill which is currently under deliberation by the Congress of the Philippines.
The President also recalled the time when he decided to run for presidency in 2009 and expressed that the country has achieved far more than what is expected. “…Sa pagpapakilala sa ating mga kandidato sa pagka-senador, ang unang-una nating criteria para makapasok sa slate ay ang kahandaang ipagpatuloy ang Daang Matuwid. Sa ganitong paraan, siguradong mas mapapabilis pa ang pagkamit natin sa ating mga pangarap,” he said.
