President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assured the public that more Kadiwa ng Pasko outlets will be installed in various localities to provide affordable and high-quality local products to counter the effects of global inflation in his message during the simultaneous grand launching of Kadiwa ng Pasko caravan at the Molave Covered Court in Barangay Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City.
‘Pararamihin po natin ito hangga’t may coverage na tayo na national. Bukod pa roon, kahit na ang pinangalan namin ay Kadiwa ng Pasko, kahit pagkatapos ng Pasko, patuloy pa rin ito. Hindi namin ititigil ito,’ the President said.
As concurrent Secretary of the Department of Agriculture (DA), the Chief Executive pledges that his Administration will deliver on its promise to provide basic commodities at low prices, including the PhP25 per kilo of rice from the National Food Authority (NFA), which are made available in the Kadiwa ng Pasko caravan.
‘Palapit na tayo dun sa ating pangarap na 20 pesos. Aabutin din natin yan. Marami pa tayong gagawin,’ he added.
The President also received gifts from featured local shops, including two (2) pairs of Marikina-made shoes from Seacrest Topsider.
The Kadiwa ng Pasko caravan is an initiative of the Office of the President and spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture (DA) in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
The nationwide simultaneous grand launching was held in 14 cities within the National Capital Region (NCR) or Metro Manila and other provinces including Tacloban City in Leyte, Koronadal City in South Cotabato and Monkayo Municipality in Davao de Oro.
