Roselie Mabunga arrived in Lao People’s Democratic Republic on 17 July 2007 upon learning from a friend working in the same country that great opportunities are being offered to Filipino teachers in Laos.

She has taught Math, English and Science subjects at Panyathip International School before being promoted as Head of Primary Department. At present, there are nine Filipino teachers in the said department.

She describes the Filipino teachers’ relationship with their students like that of a mother and child, emphasizing that Filipinos have a lot more patience with their students aside from being dedicated and hardworking.
