Parliament member Jasmine Bacurnay-Lee is the first Filipina and naturalized Korean to get elected as a proportional representative in South Korea’s National Assembly in 2012. A staunch advocate of multiculturalism, she is a recipient of several recognition like the 2013 Constitutional Politics Award, the 2012 Immigrants’ Human Rights Award and the Corea Image Communication Institute (CICI) Korea Image Millstone Award. A mother of two, Lee is a TV/radio personality, an actress, and is considered to be the biggest success story for migrant wives.
