Mr. Arturo Sayas is the current President of the Philippine Community Council of New South Wales (PCC-NSW). He was a career military officer with the Philippine Air Force (PAF) prior to migrating to Australia with his family, where he worked as a sweeper at first. Later on, he established Zignal Travels, a successful travel agency based in Blacktown City. For the past 20 years, Mr. Sayas has been actively involved in the Filipino community, serving in various capacities in organizations such as the Kapisanang Batangueno and Friends, the Alpha Phi Omega (APO) Alumni Association, the Australia Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industries (APCCII), the Australia Philippine Services League (APSL), and the Global Filipinos Australia.

He also received a numerous community and business awards including the Chifley Community Volunteers Award in 2007, the Librato Ureta (APO) Leadership Award in 1996, the Filipino Business Council’s Best in Travel and Tourism Awards for Zignal Travels in 2000 and the Philippine Airlines Top Producer Awards (worldwide) for Zignal Travels consecutively from 1993. Under PCC’s Philippines-Australia Disaster Emergency Response (PADER) Program, Mr. Sayas handed over to the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro and oversaw the distribution of relief goods in evacuation centers after typhoon Sendong in December 2011.
