Ambassador Teodoro Locsin, Jr. is the 20th Philippine Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York.
The Ambassador gives his thoughts on this year’s theme of the 73rd Session of the High-Level General Debate of the United Nations General Assembly — ‘Making the United Nations Relevant to All People: Global Leadership and Shared Responsibilities for Peaceful, Equitable and Sustainable Societies’ — even sharing his views after listening to the statement of United States President Donald Trump.
He also shares the significance of the Philippines’ yearly participation in the UN’s High-Level General Debate as Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano is scheduled to deliver the country’s statement on September 29, 2018.
Furthermore, Ambassador Locsin enumerates the valuable and significant contributions of the Philippines to the United Nations as one of the founding Member-States of the prestigious organization, as well as the priorities that he has set for the Permanent Mission of the Republic of the Philippines to the United Nations in New York.
