Energetic and hardworking are the best words to describe Philippine Ambassador to Malaysia Jose Eduardo Malaya III. Under the leadership of Ambassador Malaya, the Philippine Embassy to Malaysia became one of the recipients of the Department of Foreign Affair’s (DFA) 2013 Best Organizations Awards.

Ambassador Malaya was previously designated as DFA Spokesperson from 2009 to 2011. He authored three books and had written articles for Philippine and Malaysian newspapers. He was sworn into office by President Benigno S. Aquino III on April 2011 and assumed his diplomatic assignment in September of the same year.
