President Rodrigo Roa Duterte spearheaded the inspection of the completed Port Operations Building (POB) Complex of the Port of General Santos in Makar Wharf during his visit to General Santos City.

During the event, the Chief Executive was given a walking briefing as he viewed the project’s blueprint. He also took the opportunity to check the Integrated Clearance Office located inside the POB.

The completed projects in the Port of General Santos are envisioned to facilitate the smooth traffic flow of ships, cargo vessels and other maritime activities in the said seaport.

The President was joined by Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III, Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) General Manager Jay Daniel Santiago and Port Management Office (PMO) SOCCSKSARGEN Port Manager Cesar Dataya.
