President Benigno S. Aquino III led the inspection of the newly constructed building at the Congressman Natalio P. Castillo, Sr. Memorial Hospital (CNPCMH) in Loon, Bohol.
He also inspected several other structures that were destroyed by the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit the province mid-October last year.
Serving at a tertiary level, the newly constructed hospital building is equipped with pharmacy, dental services, laboratory and x-ray services for both in and out-patient services. It can also perform ECG (Electrocardiogram) test and minor surgeries such as cautery and other elective surgical procedures.
With its completion, the local government is optimistic it will help decongest provincial hospitals in nearby towns of Maribojoc, Loon, Calape, Tubigon, Clarin, Iinabanga and San Isidro.
The facility is currently being manned by 43 regular employees and augmented by almost an equal number of contractuals and casual employees, including technical personnel.
