President Benigno S. Aquino III surveyed around Metro Manila to inspect four major passenger terminals for the safety of the people who are returning to their provinces or having a vacation during the country’s reminiscence of Undas 2014.
First stop was the Manila North Harbor at Tondo, Manila where the President surprised the passengers who were buying their tickets for the trip at the North Port Terminal Complex.
He then boarded the MV St. Leo the Great and personally inspected the ship together with Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chairman Francis Tolentino, and Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Sonny Coloma and other Cabinet members.
Soon after, President Aquino headed to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 to check its security and operations during the holiday.
The President walked around the airport terminal checking the security measures put in place by the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) such as the X-Ray machine for checking the passengers’ baggage. He even took time to see if the airport’s comfort room was clean and presentable.
The people at the airport also took the opportunity to get up-close and have a selfie with the President who obliged willingly to his bosses.
At around 4:00 PM, President Aquino dropped by the bus terminals of JAC Liner and DLTB at Buendia, Manila to ensure the safety of the passengers who are travelling by land. He climbed aboard some of the buses and saw to it that the passengers were comfortable before their journey.
