To get the latest situation of passengers traveling for the Holy Week, President Benigno S. Aquino III inspected two of the major bus terminals in Metro Manila — the Five Star Bus Company and the JAC Liner Bus Company — as Filipinos leaving for their provinces flocked in at the terminals a day before the Lenten Season starts.

President Aquino was welcomed by several officials of the bus companies and was briefed about the current updates of every terminal, as well as the status of operations and arrangements made for the Holy Week. The President inspected the flow of passengers where the projected volume is between 1,200 to 1,400. He then ended his inspection by boarding several buses with passengers to check on their condition.

Besides the bus terminals, President Aquino went to Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminals 3 and 4, and to the North Port Passenger Terminal Complex. He was accompanied by Transportation and Communications Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya, Public Works and Highways Secretary Rogelio ‘Babes’ Singson, and Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas.
