“… Ang lahat ng suliraning nalulutas natin…ang lahat ng mga tagumpay na nakakamit na natin at makakamit pa sa Daang Matuwid — kayo ang gumagawa ng mga pagbabagong ito,” said President Benigno S. Aquino III when he underscored a few of the major infrastructure projects in an inspection and briefing event at Ramona S. Trillana High School in Hagonoy, Bulacan.
Upon his arrival, the President assessed a two-storey school building with 10 classrooms, built through the initiative of the Department of Education (DepEd), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). “Bahagi nga ang bagong gusaling ito ng ating komprehensibong inisyatiba na lalong iangat ang kalidad ng edukasyon sa bansa,” President Aquino said in his speech.
He also shared that government has allotted P19.04 billion for Bulacan’s infrastructure from 2011 to 2016. And one of the “big ticket items” for the province is the rehabilitation of the Angat Dam. In July 2015, retrofitting of the Angat Dam commenced, with the installation of flood forecasting and warning systems, and flood control protection.
Additionally, the construction of the Bulacan Water Supply Project has also been approved. Upon completion, 200 million liters of water will be supplied to 13 water districts all over Bulacan.
Also underway are the road projects that include the ongoing construction of the Plaridel Bypass Road which connects to the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and Maharlika Highway. The said project will reduce travel time between Burol, Balagtas and Maasim, San Rafael from one hour to just 30 minutes, benefiting at least 15,000 motorists per day.
“Kita niyo naman, tuloy-tuloy ang pagkilos natin para masigurong hindi kayo kailanman malalagay sa alanganin, at magtutuloy-tuloy ang mga proyektong ito na maghahatid ng serbisyo sa inyo, kahit bumaba na po ako sa puwesto,” President Aquino said.
