President Benigno S. Aquino III led the inauguration of the Pointwest Technologies Corporation (PTC) Digital Center at the Rockwell Business Center in Pasig City.

Upon arrival, the President was ushered to unveil the digital center’s marker before proceeding to inspect the following facilities: Mobile Laboratory, General Production workstations, training and conference areas.

In his keynote address, the President recognized the success of PTC as a testament to the skill and talent of the Filipino people, as well as to the country’s continued leadership in the information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) industry.

In 2003, the company only had 60 employees. Today, it has hired 1,250 individuals with revenues reaching US$3.3 million per year. Additionally, one of its notable contributions was the development of the weather and flood monitoring mobile application called “Arko” in support of the Department of Science and Technology’s (DOST) Project Noah.

“I stand before you today to assure you that our government will continue to be your partner in maximizing the talents of the Filipino people,” President Aquino said.

Incorporated in January 2003, PTC, which is 100% Filipino-owned, was founded with the aim of delivering first class IT services. Today, it is one of the leaders in the industry with a proven track record in providing higher value services to the top companies in the Philippines, New Zealand and Australia.

PTC’s newly-inaugurated digital center is among its latest delivery center located at the heart of Pasig City.
