President Benigno S. Aquino III inaugurated two state-of-the-art facilities of Hewlett-Packard (HP) in the country – the HP Mission Control Center (MCC) and Executive Briefing Center (EBC) – that signifies HP’s commitment for long-term investments in the Philippines and its desire to set world-class standards for information infrastructure and services in the country.
The President led the Power-up Launch or ceremonial switch-on of the HP digital laptop that formally opened the two facilities and conducted an inspection tour of the MCC Boardroom and the War Room.
In his message, the President lauded HP’s expansion in the country, saying that this proves further how much confidence the global community has in the potential of the Philippines and in the competence of the Filipino workforce.
“The Executive Briefing Center and the Mission Control Center you are inaugurating today are both critical pathways towards optimizing your company’s performance. It will be easier now for executives and personnel here to communicate with their counterparts overseas; and none of them have to be too tired, or too affected by jetlag to engage in actual, productive discussions. I am also told that this Mission Control Center, which is meant to gather, monitor, and report on data and to enhance collaboration among HP delivery centers, is the only establishment of its kind in the world that HP has,” President Aquino said.
The Mission Control Center (MCC) is a state-of-the-art facility anchored with HP solutions. By combining local and global HP Enterprise Services capabilities, the MCC enables clients and HP teams to view IT environments and proactively monitor and manage global issues, resulting in better service management support. The MCC provides customers a first-hand experience of global collaboration and best-in-class service delivery.
The Executive Briefing Center (EBC) is designed to enhance the customer experience and serves as HP’s premier venue for high-level customer and executive meetings, and demonstrates HP’s broad range of technology solutions. Each briefing held is custom-tailored and involves HP’s subject matter experts and key executives for strategic business and technology discussions.
