President Benigno S. Aquino III led the inaugural drive-through of the Bocaue Bridge and its approaches along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Biñang, Bocaue, Bulacan.
Public Works and Highways Undersecretary Alfredo Tolentino briefed the President on the bridge that will not only ensure safety and ease the traffic flow in the area but will also improve the level of service of the Manila North Road.

The widening and upgrading of the 4-lane bridge that was completed in December last year has a length of 67.10 linear meters, replacing the old 2-lane bridge. It is set to significantly reduce travel time to and from Manila and Pampanga from 180 minutes to 150 minutes, benefitting 1,600 motorists per day.
Bocaue Bridge is part of the over-all improvement of the Manila North Road to ease critical bottlenecks as the region copes with fast-growing economic activities. The total project cost amounted to P57.42 million.
