The Philippines gears up  for the 51st International Eucharistic Congress from January 24 up to 31 in Cebu City. Four days before the international event, preparations at the IEC Pavilion, where most of the IEC activities will be held, are in full swing to ensure its smooth operation and capability of accepting around 15,000 pilgrims and Catholic leaders who will attend the gathering. As early as now, additional police force is deployed to watch over the safety of the attendees and to secure the peace around the city.
