“Sa pamamagitan ng mga proyektong ito, hindi na malayo ang posibilidad na makakamtan ang pangarap ng libu-libong mga Bulakenyo na magkaroon ng maayos, disente at abot-kayang tirahan,” said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. when he led the groundbreaking of another Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Project in the Municipality of San Rafael, Bulacan.

The President, having served as a local chief executive in Ilocos Norte and as a Senator, conveyed that housing for the Filipinos has always been one of his priorities as a public servant.

“Kaya naman, sa simula pa lamang ng aking panunungkulan ay mariin kong sinasabi na tututukan natin ang suliranin sa kakulangan sa pabahay dito sa ating bansa,” he added.

Spearheaded by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), the 4PH aims to build a million housing units annually to address the country’s housing backlog pegged at more than 6.5 million units. In San Rafael, around 3,920 residential condominium units will be initially constructed for the 7-hectare San Rafael Heights Township Development Project.

This is just one of the six housing projects being rolled out in Bulacan. The President and DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar earlier led a groundbreaking ceremony in San Jose del Monte and will proceed to the Municipality of Pulilan following this event to conduct the same activity.

Simultaneous groundbreaking activities under 4PH are also being held in Pandi, Guiguinto and Malolos City led by officials from the DHSUD and local government units.

“Makakaasa po kayo na ang gobyerno ay patuloy na magtatrabaho para matulungan kayo, habang kayo naman ay nagsusumikap na matupad ang mga hangarin ninyo para sa inyong mga sarili at para sa inyong pamilya,” President Marcos Jr. continued.

“Hindi rito nagtatapos ang paghahatid ng tulong ng inyong pamahalaan! Ang 4PH ay susulong pa at magtutungo sa marami pang ibang lugar dito sa Pilipinas,” he ended in his message.
