President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. urged the Department of Health (DOH) and the local government of San Jose del Monte (SJDM), Bulacan to work closely together in ensuring quality and timely completion of the St. Bernadette Mother and Child Hospital during the ceremonial groundbreaking at the Heroes Ville in Barangay Gaya-Gaya.

“Ito po ay isang patunay sa dedikasyon ng ating pamahalaan na pangalagaan ang karapatan ng lahat, lalo na ang kababaihan at ang ating kabataan, sa pamamagitan ng sapat at abot-kayang serbisyong pangkalusugan. Sa pamamagitan ng isang community hospital, mapapalapit natin ang pangunahing serbisyong medikal sa mga residente, at mapapabilis ang pagtugon at paggamot sa panahon ng pangangailangan,” the President said.

Situated near the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Project and other residential areas, the construction of the community hospital will offer immediate and affordable healthcare needs in support of the Philippine Health Facility Development Plan (PHFDP) of the Administration.

“Nagkakaisa tayo sa paniniwala na obligasyon ng pamahalaan na alagaan ang kalusugan ng kanyang mamamayan, upang panatilihin silang malakas at handang kumayod para maitaguyod ang mga sarili at kanilang pamilya, at para sa masiglang pagtakbo ng ating ekonomiya,”he added.

The Level 1 three-story hospital will be equipped with 65-bed capacity covering a total of 3,794 square kilometers ground area, complete with operating room, recovery room, maternity and isolation facilities, clinical laboratory, imaging facility and pharmacy, among others.
