President Rodrigo Roa Duterte attended the graduation ceremony of the Motorcycle Riding Course Class 06-2016 that produced 79 graduates from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Highway Patrol Unit XI (RHPU XI), Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), Presidential Security Group (PSG) , and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

In his speech, the President highlighted the risk of riding a motorcycle, and the responsibilities of the rider as a public servant.

The Chief Executive himself is a motorcycle enthusiast and recalled the time when he used to be an active biker. He said that the ability of a motorbike to be more agile and mobile should be used to respond to an emergency.

Also, he has seen the need to modernize the vehicles and equipment of the law enforcement agencies to ensure their safety, and vowed to include it in the 2017 budget.
