The second day of the 28th and 29th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summits and Related Summits formally ended with a gala dinner hosted by the Prime Minister of Lao People’s Democratic Republic at the National Convention Centre (NCC) in the capital city of Vientiane.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte wore a Lao silk shirt made especially for him and for his fellow ASEAN leaders, as well as for the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General, East Asia Summit (EAS) Heads of State/Government, and delegates, by the host country.

In his welcome remarks, Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith expressed his deepest gratitude to all his co-leaders for gracing the occasion, and offered a toast for good health, the success of the Summits, their friendship and cooperation.

The special guests were treated to a rich selection of songs and dances in the cultural performance.
