Countries composing the Group of 77 (G77) at the United Nations (UN) and China meet on the sidelines of the the 56th Session of the Subsidiary Bodies (SB 56) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) at the World Convention Center in Bonn, Germany on June 6, 2022.

The Philippines is working closely with G77 partners to ensure inclusion of key agenda items for developing nations in the discussions of the UNFCCC, including climate finance in the context of climate justice.

Secretary Robert Borje of the Climate Change Commission (CCC) leads the country’s participation to the said event together with the rest of the Philippine Delegation.

Also known as the Bonn Climate Change Conference, the SB 56 is taking place from June 6 to June 16, 2022 to discuss the preparations for the UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt in November this year.

The Climate Change Commission serves as the Philippines’ National Focal Point to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
