President Benigno S. Aquino III bade farewell to outgoing India Ambassador to the Philippines H.E. Yogendra Kumar in a meeting in Malacañan Palace.
Over the years, Philippines and India enjoy strong bilateral relations through some successful initiatives like the Philippines-India Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation, Joint Working Group on Health and Joint Defense Cooperation Commission. The thriving bilateral trade of both countries has reached investments worth one billon dollars as of 2010.
Also present during the event are Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto del Rosario and Chief Presidential Protocol Ambassador Jose Miguel Perez-Rubio.
