President Rodrigo Roa Duterte extended his gratitude to Chinese President Xi Jinping for the invitation to participate in the Belt and Road Forum (BRF) during their expanded bilateral meeting.

President Duterte also thanked President Xi Jinping for the renewed bilateral cooperation between the two countries, particularly on the establishment of the bilateral consultation mechanisms on the South China Sea as a venue for peacefully engaging disputes.
