Dushanbe, Tajikistan

The Dushanbe Water Process Conference concludes in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on June 8, 2022.

Secretary Robert Borje of the Climate Change Commission (CCC) led the country’s participation urging the global community to work closer to realize climate justice so developing nations are able to build capacities to address water resources and services challenges.

The Republic of Tajikistan, in its commitment to continue providing a platform for policy, dialogue, partnership and action, is organizing High-Level international conferences throughout the Water Action Decade with the support of the United Nations (UN). This is where the ‘Dushanbe Water Process’ is established.

The biennial conferences under the Dushanbe Water Process open opportunities for the creation of an enabling environment and platform to promote action, partnership and policy dialogue, review the implementation of the Decade of Action — a call to acceleration sustainable solutions to various world challenges ranging from poverty and gender to climate change, inequality and financial gap — and promote interlinkages and contribute to other relevant processes.
