“Isusukli po namin sa inyo ay walang tigil na trabaho upang gawing mas maganda ang buhay ng bawat Pilipino. Asahan niyo po na ang inyong pamahalaan ay hindi kayo makakalimutan,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. conveyed as he led the distribution of various government assistance to around 1,500 beneficiaries during his first visit to the Province of Bataan.

In his remarks, the President said that he wanted to personally oversee the distribution of assistance in the Province to ensure that all of the beneficiaries are given another opportunity to start, particularly those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

He emphasized the significance of supporting the welfare of all the beneficiaries, especially the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), considered one of the backbones of the nation’s economy.

“Basta ‘pag sinabi ninyo ay kayo ay nangangailangan, tuloy tuloy pa rin po ang bibigay na tulong sana naman ay darating na tayo sa sitwasyon ay lahat kayo ay may hanapbuhay na at pagkakakitaan,” President Marcos Jr. remarked.

Government assistance worth millions from the Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) were given during the distribution in Bataan. These ranged from cash assistance, scholarships and livelihood assistance, among others.

As concurrent Secretary of the Department of Agriculture (DA), President Marcos Jr. handed over two (2) farming equipment and fiber glass reinforced boats to farmers worth PhP2.96 million. He also awarded a PhP90 million check for the farm-to-market road project under the Philippine Rural Development Project.

He also distributed PhP4 million worth of machineries and assistance to fishermen in the Province that consisted of three (3) marine engines, fisheries post-harvest equipment and establishment of fry holding facility.
