President Benigno S. Aquino III led the distribution of relief goods to hundreds of families staying temporarily at an evacuation center in Barangay 105, BASECO Compound, Tondo, Manila.

The President was assisted by Social Welfare and Development Sec. Dinky Soliman, Health Sec. Enrique Ona and Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim.

Houses mostly made of light materials were swept away along the coastline of BASECO due to the storm surge brought by Typhoon Gener.
