President Benigno S. Aquino III met with Alangalang Municipal Mayor Loreto T. Uy for a closed-door meeting and led the relief goods distribution to typhoon-affected families.

In his message, President Aquino urged the local residents to work hand-in-hand with the government to rehabilitate typhoon devastated towns in Leyte. He added that he will have Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala visit the province and coordinate with the municipal mayors on how to address agricultural concerns in the area.
