On this week’s episode of The Digong Diaries Special (DDS) Podcast, Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Assistant Secretary Margaux ‘Mocha’ Uson talks with Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Eliseo Rio, Jr. about the government’s ongoing efforts and future plans to implement an improved telecommunication and internet services in the Philippines.

In the interview, Secretary Rio imparts the DICT’s progress to boost internet speed and widen the availability of the free access to Wi-Fi under the Republic Act No. 10929 or The Free Internet Access in Public Places Act; updates regarding new major telecommunications player in the market as a service provider; the Bandwidth and Signal Statistics or Project BASS; and the DICT’s efforts in educating the people on better and safe usage of existing communication platforms.
