President Benigno S. Aquino III led the 2015 Outstanding Civil Servants Awarding Ceremony held at the Rizal Hall of Malacañan Palace.
In his statement, the President lauded the awardees for their dedication and professionalism, and for being the pride and government partner for change. He assured them that government would continue to give incentives to those who exceptionally perform their duties and service to the public.
Moreover, the administration is reviewing the present Salary Standardization Law for civil servants before submitting a proposal to the legislative department for resolution.
President Aquino called on every government employee to be true to their duties as public servants, and to give their best in order to improve the lives of their fellowmen, especially those in need.
The annual conferment of honor for public servants is administered by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) that aims to promote the morale, efficiency, integrity, responsiveness and courtesy in civil service, as well as to acknowledge their outstanding contributions and achievements in the delivery of public service. It is composed of 28 individuals and two groups from all over the country chosen through the CSC’s Honor Awards Program. The awards are categorized as the Presidential Lingkod Bayan, Dangal ng Bayan and the CSC Pagasa Award.
